I've often wondered what my "destiny" is, or was, or is to be.
The older I get, the more life changes, the more I am believing that my destiny was, is, and will be - a caregiver.
I was a caregiver to Daddy and Momma from the time I was around 7 years old until Momma took her last breath. As I look back on my childhood years, I realize that the greatest lessons I learned was about being a caregiver.
I was a caregiver to Rick - even before his health put that "label" on me.
I was a caregiver to our kids. And am still to an extent. Once a Momma, always a Momma - even when they are grown and living their own lives, raising their own families, working their jobs and all the things that go with life and living. Even when they become caregivers.
I have been a caregiver to others through the years. Some have been a "come-and-go" type caregiving situation, some have been more of a long-distance care, some have been more hands-on day and night.
And now, I am a live-in caregiver.
I will be sharing my experiences through the years, lessons learned. Challenges faced. Adventures taken. The ups and downs. The victories and the defeats.
And I will also be sharing the continued learning experiences of life as a caregiver, especially during the sunset times.
