The Porch is a place to pause, breathe, and wonder awhile

—where stories of grief, faith, love, hope, and everyday life

are shared with a little coffee, a few laughs and some tears.

Every weary traveler deserves a place to rest.

No one should need to carry their heaviness alone.

You can bring your coffee, your questions, your memories,

your tears, your laughter,

and all those things you don’t quite know what to do with yet.

It is that magical place for when life finds you in the middle.

Between inside and outside.

Between solitude and community.

Between remembering what was and learning how to live with what is.

Between beautiful days and hard times.

Between Grief and Hope.

Between what we know and what we still wonder about.

There won’t be a lot of easy answers here.

Life doesn’t usually work that way.

But there will be honest words, stories, and room to just breathe.

Perhaps somewhere along the wandering,

a thought will find you putting into words something you have been quietly carrying alone

for way too long.

Perhaps laughter will find a long-lost belly laugh within you.

Perhaps tears will wash away the stress that has tried your patience past “the point”.

Perhaps lingering, lurking, and lounging will wrap you in a hug

of realizing that you are not as alone as you thought you were.

There is no pressure to participate.

Just an invitation to come sit a while,

wonder a bit,

or walk and wander around.

There’s always room on The Porch.
