Even if . . . YOU are still GOD
Even if . . . YOU are still good.
How long that song has carried me.
And carries me still today.
How many times did I cry out to YOU, that YOU would heal Rick and give us more life together?
And yet, the healing here upon this earth did not come.
Dreams are still undone.
His life is gone, my life remains.
Even if . . .
LORD our GOD, YOU inhabit the praises of YOUR people.
YOUR Presence gives us fullness of Joy.
The Joy of the LORD is our strength.
We can do all things through CHRIST Who strengthens us.
Thank YOU GOD for the victory – even if . . . even when . . .
Through these years alone since Rick died, I have learned what is a “sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving” – when praise and thanksgiving isn’t automatic, when it is disciplined and measured.
Because of those “even if” moments and times.
Thank YOU GOD for understanding me so completely.
When I am afraid, LORD, I will trust in YOU – and praise YOU, thank YOU.
Because YOU are . . .
: Psalm 22:3 – Yet YOU are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel.
- I love that word, “YET”
: Psalm 146:1-2 – Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord, O my soul! I will praise the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praises to my GOD while I have my being.
- Because YOU are Worthy!
: I Thessalonians 5:18 – Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
- Not that all circumstances are the will of GOD, but that giving thanks in all circumstances IS.
It is well with my soul.
Not because all things are well with my life.
Not because I am living "the dream".
But because of all YOU have done,
and all YOU have Promised.
Because of WHO YOU are . . .
Even if - YOU are still GOD, and YOU are still good.
