THESE PAGES ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION :)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE & UNDERSTANDING!

Recipes.

I just need a quick, easy, and reasonable, recipe.

With ingredients that I am most likely to have or can find & afford.

There are times I enjoy hearing the backstory of recipes

– where they came from,

or how someone adapted a recipe to their likes/dislikes/family/time.

There are times I need to see the recipe being made & followed

– so I can recreate it correctly.

And then, there are times that I simply need a recipe.

Not the backstory.

Not the video.

Not all the ads on the page to wade through.

(And yes, I get it

– the ads help pay for the websites, but goodness!

Some of these recipe sites have SO many ads!

Takes longer to click out of them, than to read & save the recipe!)

Then, there are the click-bait sites.

Oh the video is so realistic it makes your mouth water!

You can almost smell the foods!

But to click on the “get recipe” link –

you are taken to a totally different site,

and the recipe for the video is NOT there!

Or you have to watch it for longer than you have

– and still can’t find the recipe!

In these times where money is short,

time is precious,

and grocery prices are high

– I need recipes that do not require hours in the kitchen,

nor chasing after items to make a meal,

nor having me make life choices in the grocery store aisle -

- do I buy these ingredients, or do I put fuel in the car?

- do I eat cheap, or healthy?

As much as I would like to subscribe to a pre-made meal plan

– the cost is not within my budget.

Eating out is not the best option

– cost and choices.

Especially when I need to watch the fat & sodium content of foods.

I am doing this site differently.

Just recipes.

Rarely will there be a backstory –

and if there is, it will be at the BOTTOM of the recipe.

So you get the recipe FIRST!

Rarely will there be a video –

again, if there is, it will be at the BOTTOM of the recipe.

You get the recipe FIRST!

You will be able to see a picture of the finished food and read the recipe –

without click-baiting.

I will be adding recipes as I go through my cookbooks and memories.

And as I surf the internet, finding recipes that “fit the bill” for here.

I will also add a few links here and there to the sites that are easier to navigate.

If you have a recipe that you would like to share – please, DO!

The old adage, “It takes a village to raise a child”, applies here too

– It takes a village to create affordable and healthy meal options!
